A Demonstration of Grief at their front door
The Military Recruitment Center Nearest You
12 Noon
The Day after the 3,000th U.S. Soldier is killed
I know that we are on the verge of a tragic milestone, the death of 3,000 soldiers.
When they announce this awful statistic
I will commit to going to the nearest Military Recruitment center the next day at 12 noon and have myself a really good cry.
Perhaps you might be interested in passing this action along to those in your organization.
The power of families, and deeply affected folks showing up in mourning clothes
at Recruitment centers and Military Bases, and grieving, so everyone can hear,
could send an extraordinary message to the world that the occupation and sacrifice of our children is visceral, real and unacceptable.
There are also the hundreds of thousands of Iraqi's that have needlessly died that deserve our compassion.
Although I have some hope that the with the Democrats taking back the house and Senate that things could shift, it's too slow.
The time to bring our kids home is NOW!
Perhaps we could carry on grieving for three days, that way more people can join as they hear about it.
What do you think?
May all find there way out of suffering.
May all be safe, fed, and loved.
